Week 11 (Finally!!)

I really enjoyed taking part in the Learning 2.0. I finally figured out what everyone was talking about when they talked about MySpace and blogs. Now I won't look like a deer caught in the headlights when people are discussing these aanymore.
I really got a lot out of this that I plan on continuing to use. There were parts of this that were really confusing for me and almost made me give up, but I decided to keep plugging away and see if this would get clearer. Some of it finally did!!
I really can't think of anything we didn't cover in this that I would like to learn about. Of course I'm not sure of what all is out there.

week 10

The net library was easy to navigate through. I like the fact of being able to look at the book first before deciding if I want to check it out. I can go through and see if it has the information I am looking for.
Some of The podcasts directories were a little tricky to figure out how to get around in them. I still haven't figured out how to add one to my bloglines account yet, but I am still working on that part.
It took me a while and a few days away from this and I finally got a podcast on my bloglines account.(At least I think I did!!)I will have to play with it a little later to see if it really is. Sometimes it just takes me a little while to figure this kind of stuff out.

YouTube

Well, I searched You Tube for about an hour before I found a video that was best for me,since I have very little patience for stupidity. It was a little difficult to navigate around the site at first, but once I stayed with it for a while it got easier to figure out.

week 9

I went to Google Labs and went to the music trends section first. It was cool to see what other people are listening to. I liked the fact that it gave you different places to go to get lyrics or to download songs. I also checked out Picasa since I love photography. It was very easy to navigate around in and I thought it would be very useful for someone that does a lot of photography and wants a way to store all the photos and even share them all. I would probably use this site at home.
I have been on Library Thing. It will be a great way for me to keep track of what I have read. I have this habit of starting a book and realizing after 2 chapters that I have read it already. Then I have to try to find something else.It was very simple to use. All I had to do was to type in the name of the book or the author and click on one of the books in the list and it was added to my library.
This is great! Now I don't have to go back to my other computer anytime I need to change or see my documents. That will make things easier for me since I live about 15 minutes away from each computer. It will be better for Jim too since he often uses my computer for his cadet program at the station. He will be able to access them if he is at home and his reports are here with me,especially if there is a last minute change like there usually is.

week 7

Okay. I finally figured out how to add a picture to my blog. It took awhile. I still can't seem to get the map moved to my blog. Maybe one of these days when I have enough time I will figure it out too. It justs takes me a little while to figure some of this out since I don't use the computer much.

It seems like this is what they are always thinking!

week 8

The perspectives on Library 2.0 are so true. The libraries will have to evolve with the technology of today and the future . If they dont, people will just find other sources for their information.
Some of the search engines were very easy to use. I really like the Mooter and Karoo. They were set up different than most. It made it a little more interesting to see. They were easy to navigate even though they were set up different.

week 6

The RSS feeds are great! Especially for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of time to spend on the computer. It makes it so much easier to go to my favorite subjects without trying to search through everything that comes up.
The bloglines search tool was the easiest for me to use. It was very basic. All I had to do was check some of my favorite topics and it came up with feeds to check out.

week 5

I loved the Flickr site. I will keep using this for a long time. I typed in a city name and came up with pictures from that area. That was so cool!! Maybe this way I can share my photos with Jim's family out in Arizona without having to print them and mail them!

Week four confused me beyond belief!! I hope this gets easier to understand.
